Greenline
Privacy Policy

Greenline is a local-first iOS app. Most users will never touch our servers. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do.
What we collect
- Nothing by default. Every vehicle, fill-up, service log, receipt photo, VIN, and maintenance task lives in SwiftData on your device. We do not see it, sync it, log it, or back it up.
- App Store purchase state. If you buy Greenline Pro, Apple tells your device "this Apple ID is entitled." We never see your card details, name, or email.
What we never do
- We do not collect, sell, or share location data. The optional gas-station coordinate stored on a fill-up never leaves your phone.
- We do not include third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics libraries.
- We do not require — or accept — an account.
Camera, photos, location, notifications
Greenline asks for these permissions for specific, narrow features:
- Camera — only when you tap "Scan VIN". No frames are saved or uploaded.
- Photos — only when you attach a receipt to a fill-up. The photo is stored inside the app's SwiftData store, not in your photo library.
- Location — optional. If you tap "Stamp location" on a fill-up, the coordinate is saved with that record on-device.
- Notifications — optional. Greenline schedules local notifications via Apple's framework. We don't run a push server.
